Gift Ideas For Little Boys

I’ve always found it so much harder to shop for my son than it was my daughter! Maybe it’s because I’ve always been a girlie girl but I personally think that there are so many more fun gifts to buy for girls! If you’re having a hard time shopping for your little boy then hopefully this gift guide will help you! This blog post is full of ideas for little boys that is filled with toys that my son actually owns and loves! A lot of these are actually gender neutral toys that my daughter loves as well! If you’re looking for gifts for little girls make sure to check out my little girls gift guide too!

I always work so hard to find presents that will make Christmas morning exciting for the kids but also something they will still enjoy weeks, months and even years later! If you’re anything like me the amount of options of toys and things out there that can be purchased can feel so overwhelming! When I shop for something for my family I typically spend hours researching, reading reviews and trying to pick the best option. So here you can shop all my picks of what I actually bought my little boy! These are some of his favorite things and I would bet they will be your little boys too!

My four year old son LOVES the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, it’s basically his favorite thing in the entire world! So we have searched high and low to find the best Ninja Turtle toys and considering he plays with these every single day, I think we did pretty good!

  1. Ninja Turtle Underwear- This might seem silly but I’m always looking for practical + fun gifts and this is kind of the perfect one! My son was so excited to open it and he likes to pick them out in the morning!

  2. Talking Raphael Toy- This is one of my son’s favorite toys because he talks and makes noises! He also has the Leonardo one! He wants Donatello and Mikey for Christmas this year too!

  3. Leonardo Pizza Motorcycle- He loves cars so when you make a ninja turtle motorcycle you know he is going to love it!

  4. Pizza Van- This pizza van actually shoots out little pizzas and he thinks it’s so fun to play with! We go it for him for his 3rd birthday and it’s still one of his favorites.

  5. Farting Squishy Raphael- I’m not sure what it is with little boys that makes them love farting noises but this toy is definitely a hit! It’s like a bath toy and the farting noise is pretty quiet so thankfully it doesn’t drive me insane! They also make a 4 pack with all of the Ninja Turtles.

  6. Fuggler Donatello- He thinks these ugly ninja turtles are so funny! We got him this one for his fourth birthday and Raphael, Mikey and Leonardo are on his Christmas list for this year!

My 4 year old loves sensory Toys and these are a few of his favorites!

  1. Castle Kinetic Sand Kit- This Kinetic Sand kit is perfect because it comes in an easy to store plastic box. My son loves to sit and build sand castles with it!

  2. Magnetic Tiles Road- My kids all love playing with Magnetic tiles but my son especially loves it! We are getting him this road for Christmas this year so he can make roads up to his castles he builds! He also had this Magnetic Tile Set.

  3. Ninja Turtle Goo JIT Zu- My son loves all of the squishy toys especially any of the Goo Jitsu’s! I got him this 4 pack for Christmas this year and I can’t wait to see his reaction!

  4. Sonic Goo JIT Zu- He has this one and absolutely loves it! These toys are so fun because they are really stretchy and they are fun to sit and squeeze. It’s great for kids who sometimes need help regulating their emotions or are sensitive.

  5. Biggie Book- My son LOVES the Elephant and Pig books and this book has 5 stories in one! He also has volume 2, volume 3, volume 4, and volume 5! We have gotten them for him as gifts and they are his favorite books to read! They are really funny and also great for first time readers. My first grade daughter will read them to him sometimes!

  6. Sonic Water Bottle- As I mentioned earlier I love a good practical gift! The thermos water bottles are great because they are spill proof. He always thinks it’s so fun to get a new water bottle with his favorite characters on it!

Ninja Turtles really are my son’s favorite toys so here are more of his favorites!

  1. Mutation Station Van- This toy is super cool because the tiny figures all come apart and you can make your own mutants with them! He likes to switch up their heads and bodies and then you can launch them from the truck.

  2. TMNT Bad Guys- He loves the bad guys from the mutant mayhem movie because it gives his ninja turtles someone to fight! You can buy this 4 pack that comes with a lot of them and you can also buy them individually.

  3. Michelangelo Stufie- He sleeps with all 4 of the ninja turtles every night in bed! These ones aren’t too big so it doesn’t take up too much room in your house!

  4. Rocksteady Motorcycle- He loves playing with this toy to make him fight Leonardo on his motorcycle.

  5. Ninja Turtle Blanket- Another great practical but fun gift! He sleeps with this blanket every night!

I always try to buy my kids practical gifts when possible because they will actually get used! I try to find ones that are also fun for them with cute characters or features they will be excited about!

Rain Jacket- I almost always get my kids new rain jackets and rain boots for Christmas because living in Southern California we typically don’t need them in the fall and they will have outgrown the ones they got the year prior!

Rain Boots- These are the ones my son likes because they light up and are a fun pattern! I also love that they will be easy to match with his clothes!

Sonic Water Bottle- My kids love water bottles with fun characters on them! These water bottles are leak proof and have been perfect for packing up on the go!

Foam Soap- This is one of those perfect fun and practical gifts! My kids love playing with this in the bathtub or shower. It’s scented and colorful but doesn’t irritate their sensitive skin. It comes in a huge pack so I actually bought it to use in their Halloween Boo Baskets and saved the extras for Christmas!

Pajamas- My son loves character pajamas because it’s like playing dress up at bedtime! He has these ones and loves them!

Astronaut galaxy projector- We got this for my son 2 years ago for Christmas and it actually just broke so now we are buying a new one this year! It was the perfect night light to help him wind down for bed and it looks like a cute toy so any kid would be excited to open it on Christmas!

Pigeon Books- My son loves these books! He was circling a bunch of books he wanted and these were at the top of the list! I love that these are practical and fun!

Toy Story Bandaids- These are a great gift because they are fun character but they are also very practical!

Kids Electric Toothbrush- We got these for our kids last year when they saw our electric toothbrushes and wanted their own! They were so excited to get them and we have been loving them! The brush head is small and perfect for their little mouths! They are also gentle and do a great job keeping their teeth clean! We still typically brush all their teeth but sometimes we let our 6 year old do her own because we trust she is doing better with this than if she used a manual one!

Bike- We got this bike for Lincoln last year and it’s been such a great bike for him! This was such a fun surprise gift!

Tonie- We have 2 of these for the older two kids that we got them for Christmas last year! I’d say it’s one of their most used gifts! I love that we can always buy new Tonies as gifts too! So they normally get a few new ones in their stocking or from the Easter bunny!

Name Puzzle-We have these for the kids and it’s so good to help them with name recognition !

Anywhere Chair-We have these chairs for each of our kids personalized with their names on them. They love having their own chairs and will sit in them in the playroom while they play or watch TV. Sometimes they fall asleep in them and it’s so cute! I love that the covers are removable and machine washable because we have had lot’s of spills and accidents in them! they are also really lightweight so we often move them to the living room for family movie night.

Wood Blocks-These blocks are awesome for building and they make the coolest castle!

Monkey Jellycat These Jellycat stuffed animals are so soft and cute! They have so many cute animals but the monkey is one of Lincoln’s favorites.

Cuddle & Kind Lion- I love these as gifts because it also donates meals to those in need with each purchase! My kids love their Cuddle & Kind stuffs we have given them in the past and it’s a great opportunity to talk to your kids about helping others.

Writing Tablet- My kids love these and they are great to take on the go with you!

Dinosaur Bath Bomb- These are my son’s favorite! When the bath bomb dissolves there is a squishy dinosaur surprise inside! They come in a multi-pack so it’s a great value!

Spiderman Lip Balm Keychain- I love this because it’s a cute keychain but also a boyish lip balm to help with dry lips!

Kids Camera- We gave this to the kids last year for christmas and it was their favorite gift! It takes pictures and does videos, has a digital screen and prints out the pictures in black and white. The refill on the paper for the pictures is also super cheap so they can print as many as they want!

Minion Goo JIT Zu- My son loves these squishy toys and he loves minions so it’s like the perfect gift! Honestly they are so fun to stretch and play with!

Minion Water Bottle- These water bottles are the best and with a fun character on it they make the best practical gifts!

Fire Tablet

Wooden Firehouse This is hands down Lincoln’s favorite toy!! It’s small enough that it won’t take over a room and it closes up to be even smaller! It comes with furniture and people and is the perfect little playlet for boys! Lincoln was always stealing his sisters dollhouses to play with his animals and superheroes and now that he has his own he has so much more fun! We keep it in his room and he will put his toys to bed in it at night and play with it again first thing in the morning. We got this for him for Christmas last year when he was 2 and his reaction on Christmas morning was PRICELESS! It was a surprise gift that we were crossing our fingers he would like and it was absolutely perfect!

Mix and Match Dinosaurs This is another one of Lincoln’s favorite toys! You can build your own dinosaurs with the mix and match pieces! He has so much fun building creations and since they are magnetic they are really easy for little kids! This was a Christmas gift from last year ( when he was 2) and it’s still one of his favorites!

Magnatiles

Cars Transporter Lincoln got this last Christmas and it’s still one of his favorite toys! It is Mac from the movie cars and he transports all of the little cars! Lincoln loves the line all the cars up and then drive them down to other rooms of the house!

This gift guide isn’t boy specific so some of the items are a bit girlie but wanted to share it here because all of the others are perfect for both boys and girls!

  1. Playhouse-If you’re little one loves to play house then this is perfect! All of our kids love to play in ours! Ours actually had to be painted black and white because they didn’t sell it that way and it was such a pain to do! I love that this one comes in such cute colors!

  2. Bouncy House- Anyone else’s kids love to bounce?! I love that this bounce house is neutral colors so it’s not so overstimulating! Could be used indoors if you have enough space!

  3. Play Set- If you have a big enough backyard, this would be the best Christmas surprise! Our kids love to play outdoors and this playset keeps them entertained for hours! I love that this comes in black and white because once again we had to paint ours ourselves!
