Gift Ideas for Little Girls Ages 4 to 8

As my daughter is getting older she is getting into new kinds of Christmas presents and doesn’t want as many toys as she used to! Some of these gifts would totally work for younger kids as well, and maybe older kids but since my oldest is only 6.5 I’m not sure what age to make this go up to! Most of what is on this gift guide is going to be things that we gave her for Christmas last year, her sixth birthday or are getting her for Christmas this year! I’ll also add some ideas of things she doesn’t have but I know would love! If you have younger girls make sure you check out my Gift Guide for Little Girls Ages 2 to 6! That gift guide also has stuff that some older girls would love too! I hope this helps you get some gifts your little girls will love!

  1. Nancy Clancy Book- My kids all love to read but my daughter is in first grade now and is reading a ton! We want to help her continue to be a strong reader so I like to buy books that are a little challenging! She is really in to chapter books right now! We will each trade off reading a page but she loves the longer storyline! She has always loved Fancy Nancy books but the Nancy Clancy books are great as they are older!

  2. Swan Stuffed Animal- She loves pretty stuffed animals that look like ballerinas! We got her this swan as a gift last year and it’s one of her favorites!

  3. Pink Tiara- She has always loved Tiaras and this is one of her favorites! I like to get her a new one for every holiday because the old ones get worn out or broken over time.

  4. Pink Microphone Stand- This is honestly the coolest gift for little performers! We got this for her 6th birthday party which was a popstar party! The kids all had so much fun singing on it! It’s a microphone with a built in speaker so they can sing their heart out!

  5. Cinderella Tonie- We got the kids Tonie boxes last year for Christmas. If you don’t have one I highly recommend them! They listen to stories and music on it by simply placing the magnetic tonic figure on top of the speaker. It’s so easy for kids to maneuver themselves! We like to get them new Tonies as gifts and stocking stuffers every year.

  6. Scrapbook- We got this for my daughter for her birthday so she could create her own photo book! My kids love to look back on pictures and memories and it was so fun for her to create her own book! This has sticky pages with page protectors so it was easy for her to do herself, no glue or messy stuff!

  7. Leotard- My daughter does competitive dance so she goes through a lot of dance clothes! I always like to get her some cute new dance clothes as gifts and last year I got her this leotard! It’s so cute in person!

  8. Pink Bike- The kids desperately needed new bikes last year and this is the one we got my daughter for Christmas! It’s honestly the cutest little kids bike I’ve ever seen and it was super affordable!

  9. Rain Boots- I always ask family members to get my kids new rain boots every year as it’s one of those exciting practical gifts! These are what she got last year and she loved that they were rainbow, sparkly, and light up when you walk!

My daughter has officially entered the stage where she would rather spend all day doing art projects than playing with her toys! As a busy mom of 3 I am always looking for art projects she can do independently without making a huge mess! Here are some of her favorites!

  1. How to draw book- I actually got this for her a year or so ago as a gift and she was a little young for it. But now he loves to use it! It teaches you step by step how to doodle cute pictures

  2. Glitter Markers-She loves these markers because they are shiny and glittery! Careful though because they are not washable and I likely wouldn’t get them for any kids under 6.

  3. Paint brush cleaner- This is on her christmas list for this year! She LOVES to paint and the water gets dirty fast so this little water tank and paint brush cleaner will be perfect!

  4. Painting Mat- Each of my kids have this little mat and it’s perfect to create the perfect little painting space! We pour her colors into the squares at the top and it makes cleanup so easy!

  5. Light up Tracing Pad- I got her this for her 6th birthday this year and it was a huge hit! It lights up so you can easily trace pictures over the top! I chose this one over the crayola and other options because it was thing and compact! It’s really easy to store and you just plug it in when you’re ready to use it! My daughter will get it out and use it without any help.

  6. Gel Pens- I got her a massive set of gel pens last year and it’s still her favorite thing to color with! The one I have pictured here is cuter because it comes in a pink case but I actually got her THIS one because it comes with more and has a ton of refills as well.

  7. Paint Sticks- these are great because it’s a way less messy way to paint! The colors are so cute and the finished picture always looks like it was made with paint and a paintbrush!

  1. Gem Keychains- I love art kits like these because they are mess free! My daughter loves to sit and create fun things like this to gift to her friends!

  2. Kinetic Sand Kit- I got my daughter this last year and it’s honestly so adorable! It comes with colored sand, castle molds, unicorns and pom poms and so many girly accessories! She loves to sit and play with it while her brother is playing with his. I also love that it cleans up into this easy to store box!

  3. Water Bottle & Accessories- I’m a way bigger fan of the simply modern cups than I am the Stanleys! But I think the Stanley accessories are adorable! My daughter is just at the age where having a cool water bottle is really a thing so I plan to get her this for christmas!

  4. Karaoke Machine- We got my daughter this for her 6th popstar party. She loves to get it out and play with it and put on performance. All 3 of my kids love this karaoke machine!

  5. Cowboy Boots- My daughter’s friend has these and my daughter insisted they were the cutest boots and she needed some too! They didn’t have her size before but since they do now she will be getting them for Christmas!

  6. Sequin Jacket- I got this for her to wear at her popstar birthday party last year and it’s still one of her favorite jackets. It’s so sparkly and cute!

My daughter has LOVED to dance since she could walk! She now does competitive dance and it’s a huge part of her life! These are all things she has and loves and would make great gifts for any other little dancers!

  2. Ballerina Plush Doll- We got her this for Christmas last year and it’s one of her favorites! It’s so pretty and she loves it!

  3. Silver Tiara- This is another one of her favorite tiaras we have given her in the past!

  4. Angelina Ballerina Tonie- This is her all time favorite tonie to listen to. I’m not kidding when I say that she listens to this every single night. She will chose this over all her other tonies every single time!

  5. Pink Water Bottle- Finding spillproof water bottles that do not have a straw are so hard to find! We need spill proof waters for dance but I get so tired of cleaning all the straws for the kids sippy cups! This one is her favorite ( and my favorite to clean!) for both dance and school!

  6. Gymnastics Bar- My daughter doesn’t do gymnastics other than a tumbling class at her dance studio. But she went to a friends house last year and spent hours playing on their bar like this! My Mother-in-law gifted the kids this one last year for Christmas it was the highlight of the day! It comes with a mat which we also use separately sometimes and the entire thing collapses for easy storage! We actually left if up for MONTHS in the dining room because the kids had so much fun playing with it!

  7. Balance Beam- My mom got this for the kids last year for Christmas and they love to play with it! It’s great for helping them learn better balance and it stores so easily!

  8. Inflatable Airmat- My MIL got this for my daughter for her birthday this year and it’s one of hr favorite gifts! She is at the level now where she is learning some pretty intense tricks and needs good cushion underneath her! She uses this at home to practice all of her tricks but all 3 kids love to just play and bounce on it! It’s made with bounce house like material and it’s really bouncy!

Stockings are so much fun because there are so many different things you can put in a stocking! Here are a few of my daughter’s favorites and a few that I’ll be getting her this year!

  1. Care Bear Bath Bombs- My kids love bath bombs and this one is so cute and girly! It comes in a multipack and is a great value!

  2. Bow Purse- This purse is adorable! My daughter loves carrying purses with her everywhere she goes and she will be so excited to get this one on Christmas!

  3. Fuzzy Bunny Keychain- Both my daughters have this keychain and it’s so soft and cute!

  4. Laneige Lip Gloss- This is a bit of a splurge for a little girl but my daughter loves to steal mine so it’s fun to get her one of her own! You can also get an ELF Knockoff if you want to save money!

  5. Stanley Water Bottle- This mini Stanley is so cute and would be perfect in a stocking!

  6. Ballerina Bear- This is the cutest stuffie and is perfect for any little ballerina!

  7. Pink Bow- My daughter loves to wear pretty bows in her hair every day and this one is so cute!

  8. Baublebar Bracelets- My daughter got these for Christmas last year and they are her favorite bracelets! They have held up so well and are such good quality!

  9. RiRingsgs- She loves to wear rings but she looses them a lot so I’m always buying her new ones as gifts! She has these ones and they are so cute and affordable so it’s not a big deal if they get lost.

  10. Sunglasses- These sunglasses are so cute and will look adorable on any little girl!

I love giving practical gifts because I know they will actually get used! I also think it’s pretty easy to find practical stuff that is also fun!

Rain Jacket- I buy my kids new rain jackets and rain boots every year for Christmas! I just make sure to pick fun colors and features they will be excited for. My daughter loves pink and rainbow colors so she will be so excited to get this one this year!

Rain Boots- She loves these ones because they are rainbow and they light up when you walk! I also love that they match the rain jacket!

Bandaids- My little girl is still in her princess era so princess bandaids are a must! These are always such a great gift because kids think they are so fun and they definitely get used!

Foam Soap- I got this in a huge multi-pack when we did Halloween Boo baskets and saved the rest to give them at Christmas! They have been LOVING playing with it in the shower and baths and were so sad when it ran out! They love the scents and fun colors and I love that it doesn’t irritate their skin!

Princess Nightgown- my daughter has loved these since she could walk! This one is her favorite and I think she likes them because it’s like playing dress up at bedtime!

Earrings- These come in a big multi-pack and are hypoallergenic so they don’t irritate her ears! She loves being able to switch out her earrings everyday! She often looses them so it’s always exciting to get new ones!

Book Set- My daughter is in 1st grade and has become an amazing reader! She loves to read and new books always make it so much more fun! I love giving books as gifts because they are the perfect combination of practical and fun!

Stanley Water Bottle- This was the year my daughter noticed all her friends at school and dance and Stanley’s! We got her this one and she loves it! I love that it is leakproof so we dont have to worry about it spilling in her backpack or dance bag!

Electric Toothbrush- last year my husband and I got electric toothbrushes and my daughter was so disappointed she didn’t get one for Christmas too. Not sure how many other 6 year olds would feel this way haha but she was so excited when she got it for Easter! We got one for her and her brother and it was such a great decision! These ones are perfect for kids because the brush heads are small and fit in their tiny mouths! I also love that this helps her do a better job brushing on her own so occasionally we let her do it herself as she is learning to stay cavity free!

I hope these ideas help you find some things that your kids will love too! And don’t forget to check out my other gift guides for everyone else on your list!
