Gift Ideas for Little Girls Ages 2 to 6

I always work so hard to find presents that will make Christmas morning exciting for the kids but also something they will still enjoy weeks, months and even years later! If you’re anything like me the amount of options of toys and things out there that can be purchased can feel so overwhelming! When I shop for something for my family I typically spend hours researching, reading reviews and trying to pick the best option. So here you can shop all my picks of what I actually bought my little girl! These are some of my two girls ( ages 6 and 2) favorite things and I would bet they will be your little girls too! I made this when my oldest daughter was 5 with some of her favorite toys over the last few years. She is now 6 and still loves them all! Some of these would still be great for older girls but since I haven’t made it there yet I can’t say for sure. I also have a 2 year old daughter now who plays with a lot of her older sister’s toys!

I made some different gift guide collages showing the toys and below each one is a description of the item and why my daughter or kids love it. I hope it helps!

  1. Melissa & Doug Cake My kids love to play with pretend food. My oldest specifically loves to set up picnics, parties and weddings and this little cake is always a big part of that! She loves to take it apart and serve everyone slices but it’s also fun to decorate by taking the Hearts and roses off! It’s great quality and has lasted us years! She got it as a 3 year old and still loves it at 6! My 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter love it too!

  2. Doll Bassinet - My 6 year old and 2 year old both love to pretend to be a mom so anything they can play with to take care of their babies is a great option! This little bassinet is so cute!

  3. Tiara - Anyone else’s daughter think they are growing up to be a real princess? My girls love these rhinestone tiaras! They are definitely a little breakable so we have gone through a few of these over the years! We keep these on shelves in their room and take them down to wear for dress up! They would also be so cute at the top of a stocking!

  4. Porcelain Tea Set - If your little girl likes tea parties and can handle fragile items then I definitely recommend this one! My oldest loves to pack it up for picnics at the park or just set it up for a tea party at home! This tea set makes her feel like a big girl and I love to see how mature and careful she is when she plays with it.

  5. Ballet Tea Set - She also has this tea set which is way more durable! We play with this one more often because it’s okay for the younger kids!

  6. Tutu - She loves all the cute fancy ballet outfits and this is one of her favorites!

  7. Wellie Wishers Doll - Has your little girl seen the Wellie Wisher show? My girls loves it! The dolls are made by American Girl Doll and are a little smaller than the standard size dolls. My oldest has this one and she also has another one linked below!

  8. Assorted Rings - Little girls love jewelry and rings but since they get lost pretty often it’s nice to have a big & cheap multipack so it’s ok when they get lost! I buy my daughter rings for just about every holiday since she is always losing them and new ones are always exciting! These would also be a great stocking stuffer!

  9. Unicorn Jellycat - Do you have any Jellycats?! They are the softest stuffed animals and are all so cute!! She has had this one forever and loves it!

  10. Glitter Heels - Both my girls have loved high heels since they could walk! Whether they are playing dress up or going to a fancy party they loves to wear these! My oldest calls them her princess shoes. They come in a bunch of color options so you can also pick something more neutral like white!

  11. Bow Purse - If you’re little one likes to accessorize then they probably love carrying a purse. This one is so cute! My oldest has this one and loves to wear it everywhere and pack up her little toys into it! My youngest likes to steal it so she may be getting her own this Christmas.

  12. Triple Doll Bed -  If your daughter has a lot of dolls and likes to put them all to bed then this is perfect! We don’t have this doll bed but instead have a bunk bed set and I almost wish we got this one instead!  She is always doubling up the dolls in the beds, so having that extra bed would be perfect!

  13. Clip On Earrings- If your daughter wants to wear earrings but doesn’t have her ears pierced then these are perfect! We got these for my oldest before she had her ears pierced and even now that she does she still likes to clip them on as a second earring- haha! She also loves to put these on my 2 year old who doesn’t have hr ears pierced.

  1. Princess Suitcase -  This is actually what my oldest asked Santa for 2 years ago! She loves to pack it up and pretend to go on vacation. My son has a blue one too and the two of them constantly crack me up walking around the house with their suitcases pretending to be husband and wife traveling together! So if you have a little girl who likes to play pretend, I bet she would love this one! It comes with a lot of accessories inside it too!

  2. Disney Princess Castle - If your little girl likes princesses and barbies then she will love this house! It’s such a great “big” gift for little girls! One of my kids favorite things about it is that there is a button on the top you can press that plays princess music and makes all the barbies on top start to dance! You clip the barbies into the stands on top and then it spins as it plays music. We got this as my oldest’s big gift 3 years ago and my three kids still play with it! it’s also perfect for storing barbie stuff  because you can close the doors and can’t see the mess inside of it! The exact one we have is really hard to find in stock still so here is a similar one I know my girls would love as well!

  3. Dance Bag- If you have a little dancer this is perfect for storing her dance shoes in! We gave this to my oldest for her birthday last year and she loves carrying it with her to dance class! Now that she is in competitive dance she needs a much larger bag but this was perfect for back when she just did ballet and tap.

  4. Calico Critters Carriage - If your little one likes to play with little toys and accessories I bet she would love Calico Critters! They are little doll animals that wear clothes, have furniture and accessories! My kids love them all but this one is my oldest’s favorite! It comes with a princess and her accessories in the carriage.

  5. Princess Phone Purse - If you have a girlie little one that likes makeup and purses she will love this! It has a pretend lip gloss and a wallet! My girls actually fight over using it now so we may need a second one!

  6. American Girl Truly Me Doll -Anyone else grow up with an American Girl Doll?! It’s so fun to see your daughter play with the toys you played with as a kid. She loves these dolls because there are endless clothing options! She calls them her daughters and loves to take care of them.  Is it really worth it to pay more for an American Girl Doll than all the cheaper knock off versions? Depends on what you are looking for! If you have a younger girl who can’t take care of a doll maybe go for a cheaper option like this Our Generation one. If your daughter is old enough not to throw her around then I’d invest more in an American Girl Doll. The biggest difference is in the quality of their hair. You can easily brush and maintain their hair to keep it looking good. With the cheaper dolls, I’ve noticed that their hair gets really matted and nasty and it’s really hard to maintain. We have lots of both brands and they love them all! I tend to lean towards investing more in a doll that will last and saving money on their accessories and furniture by buying those elsewhere!

  7. Princess Vanity- If your little girl likes to do hair, then this is a must have! This is what my oldest asked Santa for 3 years ago and she still loves it! It has a cute little blow dyer and curling iron in it so they can pretend to do their hair! She loves to do her dolls hair with this. And since it looks like a little suitcase she carries it around with her other suitcase every time she is “going vacation".”

  8. Tutu- This is the same one as the first list but she really does love it haha!

  9. Princess Laptop- If your kids like to pretend to work then they need a good laptop!! My girls love to copy me and when I’m working on my laptop they will go grab theirs to work with me! This one is so cute because it’s princessy. My oldest picked this one out two years ago and my youngest loved it so much we had to buy her one of her own, now they both sit and work together and it’s hilarious.

  10. Glitter Heels- These are the same as the last list but they really are such a great gift!

  11. Doll Armoire- If your little girl loves to dress up her dolls then you need this. It’s the best way to store their clothes and accessories. What we love about this one is that half of it is for hanging dresses and the other half has drawers in it so you can store all the little accessories, shoes and stuff that come with them! It’s really good quality and my kids have played with it for years now!

  12. Wellie Wishers Mermaid- I mentioned the wellie wishers earlier! My oldest has both Wella and Camille but I think Camille is her favorite because she looks the most like her! If you want an American Girl Doll but want something more affordable these are a great option. They have all the same quality but at a more affordable price point . They are slightly smaller in size and wear different size clothing but I think the clothing options for the Wellie Wishers are cuter than for the standard American girl dolls!

Here is Juliet 2 years ago on Christmas with her princess suitcase she got from Santa! Behind her you can also see her babydoll and stroller I am about to tell you about!

  1. Doll Car Seat - If your little girl loves to play mommy then she needs all the mommy gear! This little carseat is so cute! My girls love to load up their baby in it and pretend to drive around with them. They also love to bring them into the car and pretend the baby is buckled in.

  2. Doll Cradle - Every baby needs a crib! My girls love to put their babies to bed every night. We just got this one in white for my youngest for her birthday and one of my favorite parts about it is that it’s small compared to other options so it takes up less space in our house.

  3. Magic Baby Bottles- These Baby bottles are so fun! Did you have them as a little girl? When you tip it upside-down it looks like the baby is drinking the milk out of it!

  4. Baby Doll- I’m convinced this is the cutest babydoll on earth. My oldest asked for it for Christmas 2years ago and it’s her absolute favorite baby. She named her Eloise which is so sweet because that is her baby sister’s name. This babydoll is actually a realistic size and has a little bit of weight to it so it feels more like a real baby. She also just has the cutest little face! Now my youngest one likes to steal it and play with it too!

  5. Doll Bed - This doll bed is the best because you can leave it as a bunk bed or it comes apart into two separate beds! This is the one my oldest has and she absolutely loves it! She is constantly tucking her daughters into bed at night. We ended up buying a second one for our youngest for her birthday so now we have 2 doll bunkbeds and 2 doll crips, our house is basically a baby daycare haha!

  6. Doll High Chair- We got this high chair for my youngest for her birthday! The kids love to put their dolls or stuffed animals in it to feed them pretend food! We had a different cheaper one before that ended up breaking. I love this one because it’s a smaller footprint than others I have seen so it fits easier in our house.

  7. Doll Bedding- This is the bedding we bought for the doll bunk bed! It’s so cute and comes with multiple blankets and pillows. Sometimes she will use the blankets on the floor for her other dolls or use the as a little picnic blanket for the dolls too! We have four sets of this so every doll bed has their own!

  8. Doll Stroller - If your little girl likes to pay with dolls then this is one of the cutest gifts you can give her! My oldest has had a doll stroller since she turned one. She loves to push her dolls around in the house or even bring it one walks. This is her new doll stroller we got her for Christmas 2 years and it’s so much more compact than the one we had before! It actually folds up for storage! My youngest steals it now and loves ti push it all over the house!

  9. Unicorn Jellycat I mentioned this one earlier but she really does love it!

  10. Baby Doll Carrier- This one isn’t pictured but it’s perfect for the doll/ baby lovers! My oldest loves to put her baby in it and walk around shhhhushing her baby. She will even wear it around Costco pretending to be me.

This is what we got my 2 year old daughter this year for her birthday! She loves them all so much and they are her most played with toys!

  1. Baby Doll high chair- I’ve already linked this one earlier in pink but we have it in white! It’s super cute and she loves to play with it!

  2. Baby Doll- This babydoll is hilarious because it is actually squishy! You can squish its cheeks and even its legs! My son loves squishy toys and he is always trying to steal this babydoll!

  3. Babydoll Umbrella Stroller- My 2 year old brings a babydoll with her everywhere we go so we got her this cheap collapsible stroller to keep in our car. She loves to push her babies with her wherever we go! We have another stroller I linked earlier that is much nicer quality but I like to keep that one inside so it doesn’t get dirt and germs in the house.

  4. Baby Doll Crib- I linked this earlier but this is the crib we got my daughter for her birthday this year and it’s so adorable!

  5. Baby Doll Bunk Bed- I linked this earlier too but we have 2 of these bunk beds and my girls love them!

  6. Doll Bedding- We have 4 sets of this for all the different beds and they are honestly adorable! I bought the first 2 sets for my oldest a few years ago and just bought 2 more for my youngest because when I went to shop this was still the cutest option out there!

  1. Crystal Tiara- I mentioned earlier that my girls love these and this is another one we have!

  2. Glitter Heels - I have mentioned these twice now because she really does love them! haha

  3. Ballet Dress- This is another Ballet Dress that she loves! I also have a bunch of her other favorite ballet dresses HERE

  4. Tea Cart -If you have a little girl who loves tea parties then this is a must! We got this 3 years ago for Christmas and it’s still one of the most played with toys in our house! The kids love to set up little tea parties on it and then they push it around the house serving food and drinks to everyone! It’s so cute and well made!

  5. Melissa & Doug Cake- This is the cake I mentioned earlier but I’m linking it again here because we keep it on the tea cart! This is another wooden cake the kids love!

  6. Tea Treats Tray- This is another one of our most played with toys! We leave it on the tea cart and the kids love to play with all the little cupcakes on it. It’s also great for shape sorting because the treats magnetically attach on to the tray and you match the shape on the bottom to the tray!

  7. Porcelain Tea Set- This is another option from what I linked earlier! This is way cheaper if you need an affordable option however it doesn't come with a cute storage case.

I always try to find stocking stuffers that aren’t junk I’ll want to trash the next day!!

  1. Tiny Baby- This actually comes in a multipack of tiny babies and they are my 2 year old’s favorite toys! I bought the multi-pack and will give her 1 as a gift for holidays and save the rest of them for the next time! They are so affordable and honestly so cute!

  2. Purse- This actually comes in a 2-pack so you can gift the other to another little girl or give your daughter one of each color!

  3. Jewelry set- This is the cutest little girls jewelry set!

  4. Sunglasses- These are the cutest sunglasses for toddler girls!

  5. Coffee Cup- This comes in a set of coffee & tea cups and is so cute for pretend play! My daughter likes to pretend she is drinking coffee just like mommy and this is perfect for that!

  6. Ballerina Bunny- This bunny is so cute and perfect for a stocking stuffer!

  7. Bow- Both my girls love getting new bows and this one is adorable!

  8. Pretend Cupcakes- My kids love to play with these! They are great quality and have held up so well over time!

  1. Fire Tablet- We have these tablets for the kids and love all the parent controls and kid features! We really only use them on long car rides or when we really need it but we don’t give them to the kids on a regular basis.

  2. Angel Doll- I gave this to my daughter for her first big dance recital and it’s her favorite doll! I bought one for my little one for Christmas last year too because they love them so much!

  3. Frozen Magnatiles- I got these for my daughter for her birthday 2 years ago and her and the kids love to build with them!

  4. Instant Print Camera- I grabbed these for the kids for Christmas gifts last year! I love that they are more affordable and you don’t have to repurchase a bunch of expensive film so my kids can take as many pictures as they want! They spent all day last christmas taking pictures and videos and they still love to play with it!

  5. Tonies Box- We got these for the kids last year too! I love that it’s a great alternative to screen time and the kids can listen to them at night before bed! We like to buy them new tonies in their stockings, for easter baskets, birthdays and for gifts as well.

  6. Barbie Dreamhouse- What little girl doesn’t want one of these?!

  7. Disney Castle- We have a similar one to this we got a few years ago and it’s still a favorite!

We have so many fun memories dressing up for dance class and watching her twirl around in her princess tutus!

Ours actually had to be painted black and white because they didn’t sell it that way and it was such a pain to do! I love that this one comes in such cute colors!
